Welcome to the Sierra Leone Law Reports
We are supporting Sierra Leone's legal system by publishing a comprehensive set of case law and establishing a permanent law reporting system in Sierra Leone. We need your help. Further info below.
Welcome to the Sierra Leone Law Reports, a Rule of Law Publishing initiative. We help nations around the world publish accurate and up-to-date legal information in order to develop and sustain the rule of law. Legal systems don’t work unless citizens and the legal profession have access to accurate and updated legislation and court decisions.
The goal of this project is to provide a complete set of reported cases from the Sierra Leone Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and High Court from 1961 onwards. Access to a comprehensive database of case law will help Sierra Leone’s legal system thrive, make it easier for lawyers and judges to interpret and apply the law, promote transparency and underpin the ongoing development of the rule of law (and all the benefits that come with that).

We are currently operating with very limited resources. We need editorial, case reporting and technical support to accelerate our publishing program, clear the backlog of cases to be reported and publish law reports as they are handed down by the Sierra Leone Courts.
