Supreme Court's discretion to grant special leave to appeal. Supreme Court of Sierra Leone, 17 May 1984
In this case the majority of the Supreme Court held that there was no basis to grant special leave to appeal against a civil judgment made in favour of the plaintiffs. Hon Mrs Awunor-Renner dissented and held that leave ought to be granted on the basis that the Court had a broad discretion and that there was a prima facie case that there was a question of law to be reviewed.
