In these 2 judgments, Awunor-Renner JSC rules on the circumstances in which a tape-recording by counsel of proceedings can be added to the official transcript and the effect of a notice of abandonment under r 45(1) of the Court of Appeal Rules 1973 on ongoing proceedings. Her Honour also makes comments on the manner in which judges ought to conduct themselves in order to uphold high standards and ensure a fair trial.
